ok basicaly go to google, and type in quantom computers, basicaly, in a nut shell, theyre supposed to be able to do everything instantanious, and compared to our harddrives, have a almost limitless amount of information able to be stored in it, basicaly, it would be like 1 byte of info for every one atom in the area. thats only the start of it all, it truly is facinating

Heres some random things i can think of
-The first computer was the size of a room and was about as powerful as a small calculator, there were switches for every 1 and 0 and guys walked around the room switching them to calculate stuff. (some stuff i learned in computer introduction class) The idea for a GUI (graphics user interface) where you click stuff instead of just type like the first computers was by xerox (the copy machine company), but they didnt want to make stuff digital, they wanted stuff to stay on paper so bill gates stole it and now hes a rich guy who could buy a small country. Some people (proffesional futurists) think that games, computers and tv's will eventualy merge into one big entertainment and media machine for the ultimate lazy fattasses. People are afraid of artificial intelligence and machines taking over the world for a good reason, theyre starting to outthink people. A supercomputer beat the worlds chess champion after a few games to learn his strategies. And for the thing about where computers are going, they are now as powerful as people could possible want (except gamers, who allways need better), so evolution of the computers going to crawl, the average guy doesnt need a computer that thinks faster and better than him. Unless some new thing comes along that needs more powerful computers (i couldent imagion what, exept for real virtual reality), computers probably wont improve as much anymore. This is just about all i know, I saw most of it on some educational video in school "revenge of the nerds" not something youd brag about seeing. Another thing, the Macintosh commercial in the 80's was pretty much the most expensive commercial ever made. It was about a shitload of people get lead into a room, all shaved heads, barcoded, grey and chained, they watched a propaganda video of what looks like a drill instructer walking about how windows will rule everything. Then some chick runs in and throws this big sledge hammer at the screen.

The gun katas. Through analysis of thousands of recorded gunfights, the Cleric has determined that the geometric distribution of antagonists in any gun battle is a statistically predictable element. The gun kata treats the gun as a total weapon, each fluid position representing a maximum kill zone, inflicting maximum damage on the maximum number of opponents while keeping the defender clear of the statistically traditional trajectories of return fire. By the rote mastery of this art, your firing efficiency will rise by no less than 120%. The difference of a 63% increase to lethal proficiency makes the master of the gun katas an adversary not to be taken lightly. |
