The Maelstrom- your impressions

What do you all think about the maelstrom? (those of you that have tried it)

EDIT: forgot to say, altho I think the lasher is a stupendous weapon, as well as the MCG, i'd rather have a maelstrom, altho ill be carrying an MCG/maelstrom combo (with decis in my inventory) on emerald and a lasher/Maelstrom combo on konried. I just dont like the jackhammer as much as i used to.

It is great because of the accuracy and damage at everything inside its range, and having a lash grenade alternate fire is a plus. Under about 5m, normal HA is still better imo.

The Maelstorm alone is worth the $30. Everything else is just a bonus to me. Now I've got 9 Maelstorms and 9 Jackhammers in my locker just waiting to be used.

I really don't even understand how the Mealstorm even damages. I used it in VR Training and it looks like some lightning is coming out...I don't know exacly how to aim and it seemed I could only fire it at an enemy, I couldn't just shoot it around.

Malestrom is ok, I'll still kill you with my Guass or BD before you can even get close.

Up close, it can take reinforced down in less than 5 seconds, it is the ultimate close range gun, AND it has GRENADES!

It works great at close range. It is best to use it while carrying another longer range weapon.

heck ill go off topic. I never liked the cycler as much as the MCG. I rarely used it once i got heavy assault. Something about it just didnt appeal to me. It was too small i guess. Needed my huge gun

I realy prefer the guass over the JH because you have range, but the JH is so much better even if you just charge up getting hit on the way, i htink the assult rifle need slight buffs, mabee even a rethinking. The guass need more power range and accuracy, but COF bloom stays the same. The cycler is good but need a higher ROF and less damage. The pulsar needs to do something different from the other to not just fire a plain old boring pulse perhaps it should do some kind of heatseaking thing but damage would have to be mini-nerfed.


I like the malstrom but its not all that good even in its range, Personal shield works realy well in defence to it too.

I think the maelstrom is pretty cool, but I would take a MCG over it anyday

I carry a Maelstorm, or two, and I carry a long range weapon, like the Pulsar, or Supressor. Unless I know I'm doing Close quarters. Then I carry a shot gun, and/or a Lasher, and/or a Maelstrom. Ain't nothing like killing a bit with a Lasher, running out of ammo, and switching immediately to the shotgun and killing some more with that. With the Maelstrom, you need a back up weapon, for when you run out of ammo, or are close to running out. That thing EATs ammo too fast.

All I can think of is ghostbusters
