Final Fantasy XI

Eh. I realize a lot of people are quitting PS and going to FFXI. I might end up as one of them soon, but for now I'm playing both FFXI and PS. I'm getting the game on Thanksgiving, and I'm pretty excited. My friend goes on the Fairy server and he's going to buy me a server pass. So I'll probably be Doop on Fairy.

Anyone here play? Share your thoughts. :O

Also, for anyone who does play, would a Warior/Samurai that specializes in Spears be a decent character? Either Hume or Galka. I don't want Great Katanas, Spears have a better damage to delay ratio.

whats the big deal with FF? you go in battle,you move the arrow to the bad guy,you press attack,repeat 5-10 times untill enemy is dead,walk around and repeat.Am I missing something here?

no from what I played of the FF series its worse then diablo,in here your screen flashes and a little monster sits to the right of you and you have 4 options
attack
magic
items
run

whats fun about that?

Its called strategy, pick up a console RPG sometime and learn what a real game is.
