Can't help feeling that these are the kind of issues that should have been fixed in testing. "Lodestar pilots can no longer fly them under the world". I mean, come on...

Heh, I did that in testserver. I was screwing arond trying to get my lodestar tangled in trees to see what would happen, I was launched through the ground and I found that I could fly around. I pulled it up underneath the hart building and parked it inside.

Also, I assume that in testing they were trying to get the important stuff fixed, get out a playable version asap so people don't have to wait, then patch it for minor stuff.

They have said that's how they do things. Still, the memory issue was a really big problem. People couldn't even get the game running. You'd think that would be something that would happen even on the test server. But, then again, you never know.

You forget that they cant really test a patch until they get a large load on the server.. it begins to react differently under stress. Plus there are more people to notice issues.

right the team of devs cant think of everything
Like being able to fire vehicle weapons when being carried by the lodestar. I wouldn't have thought of that when testing it. When you're flying across 3 conts sooner or later somebody is going to hit their trigger. Hell, even in gals and tanks the gunners shoot at nothing all the time out of boredom.

What you guys must realize is that every player has an individual SOI that follows them everywhere. That SOI is recording waves of data that the SOE group can access. Everything from how far you run, to how many bullets you fire, to how much damage you take, to how many vehicles you own, to how many friendlies you kill. And so on and so forth. At any given time a SOE employee could be watching you play. Which is why you shouldn't cheat or exploit. You never know when God is watching.

I guess they prefer the excitement of fixing show stoppers after it's already too late, instead of taking the time to test their code. Why, you might ask, I don't know.
