I'm going to remark on a growing trend i've observed thus far. When i say growing trend I mean that i've seen a couple of guys make comments on this in the sanctuary. Well since thanks to Instant action and the new HART timer i spend a grand total of two minuetes in the snac on average i tend to wonder if more people are commenting on this, so Ill straighten anyone whos not up on this out.

Art Department
Does 3D modeling, designs character models, christmas trees, promotional materials, and yes stupid christmas hats and trees. These are the artisticly minded type, maybe its a left/right brain thing, but artists seem to make shitty programers, and vica versa.

Programmers
Code cutters. They fix bugs, code new stuff, chase bugs etc. They most likely dont even doodle, if they do it most likely looks like something Obnoxious Frog churns out (no offense meant and hopefully none taken). They had nothing to do with the christmas trees.

THE BOTTOM LINE
The christmas trees and stupid hats in no way shape or form affected the fixing of bugs, they might not even have been consulted. It did not slowdown the production of Capitals/Capitols, it did not affect the physics engine. It did not introduce a server crash, it was a graphics thing. Dont blow it out of proportion and scream about how they shouldnt be doing stupid shit and be tracking down xxxxxxx random bug. Get a grip.

This has been a test, only a test, if this were a true Doppler emergency post your hair whould have caught on fire, this was only a test.

Does everything have to better the game? I don't believe the hats, lights, and gift boxes caused the game to take a step back. They (the devs) deserve a Christmas break as well.

Everyone who is either complaining about the hats or complaining about the complainers has too much time on their hands. Please just play the game, chuckle or frown at the minor holiday addons, and cap some bases. Problem solved (I hope...).

I personally like my hat I was just trying to correct this because a lot of stuff can be tracked back to people not understanding who does what on a game team.

@ Dop: I don't want to complain, I just want to have the topics that are on the top of the forum be about important or interesting things, rather than whining. And no, you're not whining, but other people have been doing so.

Noob, nothing is more subjective then importance when your talking about a online game forum. If you really feel the need to impose your own editorialism on the boards I highly suggest talking to Hamma about moding, I'd be willing to bet alcohal money he'll turn you down flat, but thats abotu the only way your going to see it happen.

Actually, I have utterly no interest in being a mod: a( Hamma would turn me down, and b( It would commit too much of my time to these boards. But isn't the whole point of forums expressing your opinions?
