Aliens Invade - Special Events?

Maybe this has been here before but what the heck...

I just think it would be great if they ran special events - like Aliens invading the continents and all 3 factions battling it out with them - maybe event having to team up to drive em back?

I know on Everquest these sort of things are done so why not PS?

Like a GM event? I thought Sporkfire nuking like 100 people would suffice

EQ rarely does GM events anymore, they save those for the ultra-expensive premium stormhammer server. All the other servers get the cold-shoulder.

If they ever had a plan to do a GM event, I doubt they would tell us.

See heres the issue, that whould require npc's and bots, planetside is a no NPC zone, and for damn good reason.

I think it might be cool if they did it only one one cont (Searhus for example) and only rarely.

Get an alien model.

Give it to spork.

Make it invincible.

Do a CSR broadcast that all people should be on (continent)

Terran + NC Vs. Spork and VS.

I think any NPC happenings would suck, though it would be fun to have "weather" events that they could trigger, like meteors or earthquakes that effect the battles

I think that weather events that actually had an effect on battles would be nice

Like, attack a base while its raining so that way we could have the true element of surprise. Or during a sandstorm your radar goes out.

Get people to play on the alien side with AT weapons, make aliens a special race with no new weapons just a new model and give people a chance to play as "Auraxis Alliance" or Vanu Aliens" or Vanu+Aliens vs. Terrans and NC but seeing as TR and NC HATE each other. Seems unlikely

I do like the idea of switcing empire weapons for April Fools Day
