RANT: My brother + "Gangsta" rap MP3s + Subwoofer = BAD

My frigging brother downloaded some freeware "gangsta" (I always quote that, it is correctly spelled g-a-n-g-s-t-E-R) MP3s from that Game Radio website (as seen in GTA3). The wall between our rooms, on par with cheap American home construction, is a drywall, meaning that a lot of the noise goes through.

He also has a subwoofer.

So all I hear is the FUCKING base of his GOD-AWFUL GANGSTER RAP MP3s COMING THROUGH!

Every fifteen seconds it's BUM BA DUM DUM, BUM BA DUM DUM, BUM BA DUM DUM

It's a good thing I'm older, heavier, and at least six inches taller than him.

NOTE: He tries to be sneaky and uses the computer in the wee hours of the morning. He leaves the lights on and keeps playing his rap. He's been caught several times.

The gun kata treats the gun as a total weapon, each fluid position representing a maximum kill zone, inflicting maximum damage on the maximum number of opponents while keeping the defender clear of the statistically traditional trajectories of return fire. By the rote mastery of this art, your firing efficiency will rise by no less than 120%. The difference of a 63% increase to lethal proficiency makes the master of the gun katas an adversary not to be taken lightly.

NOTE: For the record, I like Classic Rock (Blue Oyster Cult, AC/DC, Van Halen, Hendrix, etc.)

That just plain blows. Thankfully I work at a dorm, where loud music violates "courtesy hour" policies. And at home, my roomies are respectful.

Back in my hometown... it's a different story. We'll leave it at my sister's live-in boyfriend is a vile, disgusting, disrespecting PIG who gives a damn about no one and doesn't mind going deaf blasting country music. That's right, you read it. COUNTRY. dubya tee eff, mate? :screams:

Heh.

Reminds me of the Blues Brothers:

"So what kind of music do you usually have here?"
"Oh, we have country, AND western!"
(Blues Brothers arrive at the Western show)

Hah, nice.

Most people from this forum who talk to me on aim know how much I hate that man's guts. I tend to go on those 10 minute rants that raise blood pressure and end in screaming describing what a disgusting fat [expletive deleted] [expletive deleted] of an [expletive deleted] and [expletive deleted] piece of [expletive deleted] he can be.

OK, official apology to all those living west of the Mississippi and all those on the north side of the Mason-Dixon line.

Winter vacation's over tomorrow, that's what it is.

I got a nice, easy day to return to. In my usually most difficult class, we're watching a movie.

You would hate my house Aztec.. I have a pair of 15" Adire Tempest subwoofers, each in massive nine cubic foot boxes being powered by a Crown audio XLS402 pro audio amp, (the same type you see at concerts in the racks) pushing a total of 1,600 Watts @ 2 ohm stable... The boxes are each made out of 1" MDF with bracing every seven inches, each box used three sheets of MDF, for a total weight of nearly 340 pounds per box.

This is bass to end all bass. Even the 'boom kiddies' can't compare to this. This is bass that makes your ears feel like they are underwater, that heavy compressed feeling? Thats what you get.

I mainly listen to techno (Dance/Organic Trance) but for showing off the system I will either pop in the opening scene of Lord of the Rings, the first one... When Sauron gets his finger cut off there is that wave of energy that comes out of him. That is accompanied by a bass wave that rolls from ~120Hz down to 15Hz, so you are guarenteed to hit the resonnate frequency of your room; and those of you familiar with acoustical physics know what happens when your box is tuned to the resonate frequency of your room, and the tone hits that... 16db boost baby...

It took me months of planning to figure out the resonate frequency of my room, how to set these boxes up, and then to actually build these spires of bass.

Squick

PS. If you are curious, that crown audio amp draws 15 AMPs @ 120 volts, so it needed it's own circuit.

That's it.

I hate your technico. I hate your cRap. I hate it all. I don't care what you think, your music sucks. As Maddox says:

"But that's just your opinion!" (to Aztec)
"NO SHIT? WHO ELSE'S WOULD IT BE?!"

I hate technico, rap, country/western, swing, Doo-***, Snap Crackle and Pop, oldies, and World music, and anything made after the classical era but before 1950. You can all go shove your CDs down your *rest of message censored*

And I like death metal and techno.

Luckily, we have 5 doors you have to go through before you reach a non-living-quarter area
