Game bug in KotoR REALLY BAD

i just got Kotor and i go into my little apartment and the game gets the effect of REALLY bad lag in an mmo and makes the game unplayable.What should i do? it had been fine to before that point

turn graphic settings really really low? i had that problem when I first got it and then it went away eventually.

Wierd problem, mines probably worse, if I get im'd during the game my comp will go to desktop and totally frezze up (sometimes but if it keeps going back to desktop form the game it will eventually happen) , and even worse when i restart and go to game by quick save has been erased or wont load! Luckely its never happend where my quick save is far from my last auto-save. But I made a back up save so hopefully everything stays cool =)

Simple solution. First, you need to reroute your motherboard so that it supports 4 ram slots, next, buy 4 sticks of 1 gig of corsair. Next, find your local mafia leader, ask him for a favor, if he grants it tell him you need to put a hit out on your motherboard for sneaking in a fatherboard last night. Now, after all that is gun, go to your local NRA HQ, pull out an automatic weapon of some sort, tell them that guns are for losers, and shoot them all. Then, with their splattered blood, make a pentagram, sacrifice a goat, and summon a 19th level Djinn. Tell the Djinn that you need the world wiped of all human life, save for yours. After this is done, you won't get IM'd during your game.

(first idea) WHEW , I thought it was gonna be alot harder. I'd quit instant messenger but most of the time I need to stay on... could be beucase of trillian though.

yay i patched and it worked YAY!!!

There was a patch for that problem... it worked for me if it's the same thing, some sort of sound bug. So try either getting the patch or turning all game sound off at the start and it should go away.
