Maximum PC says it's the game of the year. Friend of mine from my outfit tipped me off.

Page 48 " No other game gives us the feeling we get when standing on a rampart in Planetside with 30 buddies as 200 enemies charge toward our position. That's Game of the Year worthy."

Funny thing is that when Maximum PC reviewed PS the first time, they didn't give it their Kick Ass award. That article you mentioned Firefly noted how much PS has come since launch. Good stuff.

Maximum PC should give everyone water cooled P4 3.5's and T3 connections so we can all enjoy 30-60 fps zergs like they do.

I can confirm this Hamma. Avid Maximum PC subscriber (Best PC magazine out there). My wife was so impressed by the article that she's considering playing. We talked a little bit about the game. I think she'll be watching this Tuesday night during our Ops night. If things go well.....I might have a use for my old video card (GeForce4 TI 4200 128MB).

Mrs. Buddy Christ as the next Dragonwolf. This will be fun.

Few understand the level of technical demand that is required for a game like PlanetSide to exist. The devs have broken the old credo that every MMO game launches hideously buggy and unstable. Sure, PS has its little bugs and balance issues, but it has a strong heart and bones. Compare it to a frail, sickly weakling like SW:G and PS seems like a linebacker after a case of Red Bull.
