Anybody who's played for a long time will tell you the equipment doesn't make the player. If you're outgunned, you need to admit it, and not play rambo ball. Your best bet is to stay on the perimeter, be stealthy and quiet and move with a partner who has a big gun. There's lots of little tips, but being quiet, is your best bet. If you're outside in the woods, wear camo, or dark clothes. If you're in an arena, break out some sweatshirts. If you're behind a tree/barrel/T whatever, don't stick your head around the side, back straight up. Gradually you'll gain sight of your target, but you're still protected by the item in front of you, and you can move back up fast. Watch your marker, don't let it stick outside of stuff, keep the CO2 on the inside of your arm. Don't spray and pray, their guns will be better than yours, just try and sneak around them and get on their flanks. Don't get stuck in one place. If you see guys moving around you, move back. If you get in crossfire that's it. There's a million techniques, but most of all have fun and don't let equipment dictate how you do or how much fun you have. I've got 2G of equipment easy, and I still prefer playing with an old tippman over an autococker alot of the time.

Well, Im on a sponsored paintball team, and the only advice I can give you is dont be afraid to get hit. Dont try to aim for any particular area, because, especcially in outdoor rental Tippman 98s arent the most accurate markers out there. So if you can hit any part of them, shoot. I've been paintballing since I was like 10, so I dont want to start you on any advanced tactics, but I guess a little guidance couldnt hurt.
One of my strategies for paintball especcially with an inaccurate gun is this: If someone on the other team knows where you are, find out where they are. Once you do, Fire at their bunker as you move. this will keep them down I promise. As you move in a semi-circular motion towards them, you should be able to get close enough to "bunker" them, or, get them from behind, so they have absolutely no cover. edit: O yea and where baggy clothes, alot of the time when the paintball hits it would just roll off, causing less pain and leaving you in the game. |

I yell a lot. As long as I have cover I yell. Oh and JetRaiden, what team/league you play on? And what gun(s) do you shoot? I wish I could get on a team. I'm useing a 03 Gen-E Matrix. One of the last ones Gen-E made before Dye bought the Matrix license. It's not a stock gas hog though. I've bought the Evolve Bolt Kit and many other things I don't have time to type cause I can see my boss coming down the hall to talk to me.

I watched my friend play today with his Ematrix and halo-b against another friend that had a minimag and a viewloader quantum. My other friend is a total n00b but trys. The matrix just totally tooled on the minimag, my other friend got flank bunkered, he has welts all over his back. It was the funniest thing i had ever seen. My friend with the matrix didnt get hit once, he does tournaments and shit.

O yeah, I agree with JR. Sending paintballs around the edge of a bunker send the message that "You'd better stay there because I can hit you", and while you're sending that message, walk up on them. Always crouch too. I've seen tons of people blow shots because they stand up when they run.

1) Wear Red.
2) Just shoot at anything that moves. 3) Stand out in the open. 4) Just charge straight at them, while shooting everything you got. 5) Get in the line of fire of friendlies 6) Don't worry about getting hit, you'll re-spawn in the next game. |

Use common sense and try to be quiet when moving around. Use team work, Never judge a player by there gun! This kid I play with has the most decked out Tippmann A-5 EVER. I had a tippmann 98 custom with no upgrades at all My kill record for the season last year with the people I play with was 21:7 his was 5:18
