This thread's probably been done before, but to my knowledge, not recently. Anyways, what games are you looking at getting this year? Just post whatever makes you drool at the top of your head. In other words, you're must-haves. Can be anything, PC, xbox, w/e.
As for me: - Halo 2 (easily the number one on my list) - City of Heroes - kind of a no-name game, which is why I included a link to an IGN news item describing some of the game...looks fun as hell to me. - Ninja Gaiden

Doom3, hopefuly it doesn't look like furry rhino ass from waiting so long to come out though.
The biggest thing about Doom3 is the lighting table is supposed to start at 0, so all light is from a legitimate source, not some omnipotent light from all directions. |

The gun katas. Through analysis of thousands of recorded gunfights, the Cleric has determined that the geometric distribution of antagonists in any gun battle is a statistically predictable element. The gun kata treats the gun as a total weapon, each fluid position representing a maximum kill zone, inflicting maximum damage on the maximum number of opponents while keeping the defender clear of the statistically traditional trajectories of return fire. By the rote mastery of this art, your firing efficiency will rise by no less than 120%. The difference of a 63% increase to lethal proficiency makes the master of the gun katas an adversary not to be taken lightly. |
