Is it me, or do you also think that someone wearing desert camo BDU's should not be wearing a jungle camo Flak vest? I mean, I don't want to go Queer Eye on the US military, but green doesn't go with beige. Sorry, it just doesn't.

First of all, I think the photo is fake. If it's NOT, that fucking troop needs to be beaten with a stick.
Second of all, we don't have matching equipment, Sentrosi. The military is primarily a woodland camo pattern-based force. The standard uniform is the green Battle Dress Uniform (BDU), not deserts. The desert BDU is issued when troops are going to the Middle East. All of the TA-50 (battle rattle) is made with the woodland camo feature in mind. So it's not something that we can help. Most of the flak vests, Gor-tex, kevlar covers, and almost all of the battle rattle (web belt, suspenders, etc) is all woodland (green) pattern. There are very limited supplies of desert TA-50 and they are all in use.
