I can't play the game just yet (Iraq does not have broad band) but am very interested in HART drops. I'll just list my questions, and any information is appreciated.
1.) Who can organize a HART drop? 2.) Where does a squad form up to get in the pod? 3.) Where can you be dropped? 4.) How many vehicles, personnel can fit in a pod? 5.) Are HART drops normally coordinated with a Tank/Infantry push? 6.) What makes a good HART drop? Thanks |

HART drops are high altitude drops of squads. They are personal drop pods. The biggest thing they carry is a MAX armor. 1 pod to one soldier. Every HART drop starts at sanctuary. There you wait for the ship to arrive, everyone who wants a ride gets on, the ship takes off, you select your own personal drop point and bam your there.
THe HART drops are seen as a public transportation system in game. They arnt looked at tacticly to much, as they could be. |

To add to peacemakers comments:
The HART takes off about every 5 minutes. Vehicles can not ride on it, but they can get a lift in another vehicle know as the Lodestar. You can use these flying transports to move any single ground vehicle to a location and drop it in conjuntion with troops who are harting in, or who are dropping out of the flying troop carrier the Galaxy. When they are landed, Lodestars also act as repair/rearm stations for friendly ground and air vehicles. |

Sorry about the internet problem
And to answer your questions:- 1.) Who can organize a HART drop? It arrives at sanc every 5 min. 2.) Where does a squad form up to get in the pod? Each pod can only hold 1 pirson, but the hart has lots of pods, there is no limit of people getting on. 3.) Where can you be dropped? when it takes of (waits 20s then takes off) it loads up the mao screen, and you choose where on whatever contanat (as long it is not locked out) you want to go. 4.) How many vehicles, personnel can fit in a pod? No veh, only people, and it is unlimited. 5.) Are HART drops normally coordinated with a Tank/Infantry push? No, comes to sanc every 5 min. 6.) What makes a good HART drop? If you land and not get run over by a tank. I hope that helps. |

I agree. Unless you're in a good, organized squad (which is almost impossible to find nowadays unless you're in an outfit that doesn't suck) it's worthless to try and wait for a galaxy. If the HART was harder to use/non-existant, I still don't think it would solve the problem. Unless people start getting more organized and stop playing in small groups of like 3 or 4, then gals are pretty much gonna take a back-burner.

Fox, you're thinking about air assault (hot-drops) from a Galaxy dropship. The HART is just a cheap and easy means for people who have no vehicle certs to go stand around and wait. I have seen only a handful of play sessions where an outfit did a mass-HART to a DZ. It's mainly for individual players.
At this point the HART is nearly worthless, since continents are locked more frequently.
