I played it in the summer and I didnt like it much, but its alot better now and I was playing all day today.

You pay for things in game with real money. meaning you convert money (from a credit card or PayPal account) into the game currency (1 USD = 10 PED) so basically you can put in 50 bucks, and if you mine/hunt alot, you can end up coming out with more money then you had in the first place.

edit: also, weapons dont cost alot, like 300 USD, the cheapest assault rifle is 14 PED, which converts to $1.40

I put in 50 bucks and it got me a substantial amount of gear.

edit: also its not like planetside where oyu have to get new stuff every time you respawn, it has more of the traditional MMO inventory.

yea, I know a guy who bought mining gear, about 60 PED total, for everything, and ended up making like 200 bucks. theres also people who go in the game with nothing and some generous veteran will give them enough to buy some armor and a cheap gun.

theres also a chance of finding rare items, or minerals, and holding on to them, demand will soar, and you make teh big bucks. this game has a fully functional economy.

oh yay. that means i can get this and not have to work lol. one thing, do u HAVE to put money in, or can u like, kill something and get money from that? cause i dont wouldnt like to give up money lol

you cant get money from killing creatures, or mining minerals and selling them, but you need gear to do that. theres also hidden deposits of PEDs all over the world. I meet a guy who found 300 PED in a ditch.

Well, it's a free DL, and there's no monthly fee... still seems a bit stupid though.

if you spend a while mining, I bet you can make some cash. and when I mean a while, I mean like 2 hours a day for about a week. not sure how much itll get you, but Im sure youll get some cash.
