No, they are papper airplanes that get launched off of mousetraps and fly short distances (its only over the border fence, its why we never see their planes).

And those weren't UFO's, they were the Mexican airplanes that some one lit with a lighter and launched them.

Their only fighter is the F-5... that's fuckin SAD. That's the trainer aircraft that we use to simulate enemy aircraft. You can see them in a ton of movies as "threat aircraft". I think Hot Shots had them, possibly Top Gun as well?

Well...given that the country is mad poor, buying fourth-generation fighter aircraft in a time of peace is not a high priority.

'The island down there, Hispaniola' is the island which Haiti and the Dominican Republic are on.

F-5E Tiger II is a very capable aircraft for it's cost. With upgrades to weapons and avionics it can be a formidable air defence fighter. Just because it's not an F-22 doesn't make it "SAD". Mexican F-5Es come with a small statue of Mary on the dash instead of a HUD which makes it slightly less effective though.

Yep, those were the "MiG's" in Top Gun.
