Battle Continents

Ok, I saw the poll about them on the front page of PSU. I tried to find some info on them but could not find any. In fact, I don't think there has been any real info submitted about them. If there has been, please help me out here, where is it?

Erm, this was actually a giant announcment that the Devs made a couple weeks ago. In a nutshell, the Battle Continents are going to be smaller, more infantry-oriented continents that will be added to the game.

No information yet. Probably some in a few weeks. Considering this is a big shake-up of the game, PS needs to milk it for all it's worth to draw new players (i.e. give magazines time to announce details other than what Ask the Devs provided us).

Yeah, it was announced on the last Ask the Devs but other then that there is no real info about other then the fact that they plan to replace some of the exsiting continents with smaller "battle continents"

In my opinion, Cyssor and Esamir make the most sense to become these battle continents. Look at Cyssor, it's practically already a battle continent with the amount of islands it has, and Esamir just needs a couple of more cracks running through it.

IMHO they should leave the continents alone and add a few new smaller ones. Anytime you take something away... well you take something away

I'd prefer to see just more added.

Also, please overhaul the gameplay of the caverns:

1. Make it free now, or perhaps at a reduced price if you subscribe for 3 or more months at a time. It's time for a promotional incentive to get more people playing the game to actually have the expansion.

2. Add CEP to building caps there... a smaller amount than a full base cap of course and using the "unique kills" formula... so only bases you battle over yield any CEP of note. This will give "leaders" incentive to bring their squads.

So, there is NO positive solid info about the Battle Continents but there is a poll on the front of PSU asking if we like them or not?

The latest Ask the Devs has a lot about battle continents. That's pretty positive.

I dunno, if you added continents, then you dilute the playerbase, which without a great influx of new players could be detrimental. Secondly it's possible that the way the servers are set up, require the removal of continents before you add them. Finally, you're not taking them away, you're simply replacing them with something different which I think should bring a bit of variety.

If you make Core Combat free you're slapping every person who bought it in the face. Price reduection could be likely. But you should get XP for capping in the caverns, not sure why that isn't in place already.
