Correct me if I am wrong, but isn't the purpose of deconstructing your avatar for faster movement accross a continent? Why then, does it only give you the option to respawn in the local area that you're already in? IMO you should have the option to respawn at ANY and ALL of the spawnpoints you have on a continent. Also, I think it'd be cool if advanced hackers could hack enemy spawn tubes for deconstruction. Lemme know what yall think.

I kind of have to agree. Our SL deconstucted and went to a tower that another hacker from our group took. But when the rest of us went to do the same....that option wasn't there. Go figure. I think if a member of your squad hacks a tower or base, you should always have that option to deconstuct and support him/her at that location. You shouldn't have to run halfway across the cont to bind there...cept in the case your squad wasn't the one that hacked it.
As for hacking spawn tubes....see my crazy empire specific thread |

You can spawn across the continent, but you have to have the forethought to save your pattern at a base over there. If anyone could spawn anywhere you would have every defender on a continent popping out of the tubes of bases you were trying to capture. As it is now you can have up to 5 spawn points on a continent when you deconstruct, given that you saved your pattern in a base and an AMS.
Good rule of thumb is, if the continent is so large it would take you forever to get to the other side for a defense (cyssor great example), save your pattern over there in a base before heading out with the rest to capture the other side. |
