Surgile

So I was playing last night, and remembering the surge supporters talking about the surge nerf being the end of Planetside. As I was playing I was realizing that the surge nerf really couldn't have helped Planetside any more than it did. The game is easily 10x as fun as it was before the nerf. Now when I get killed I feel like somebody either beat me or on occasion I got 'client sided'. I can live with either of those, I figure for every time I get client sided I probably do the same to somebody else without even knowing it. I can't remember the last time I saw a warper that looked like they were purposely warping around the screen, though. The game field is finally as level as it should have been from the beginning in that regard.

The people who complained were really only the people who abused it, so it's easy to understand that some people may not have had the best interest of the game in mind when complaining about the surge adjustment.

besides surgehammering, the thing I'm most greatfull about is now cloakers can't surge through a crouded spawnroom and boomer everyone before anyone knows what's going on.

That always sucked

It can still be done, I never needed surge to successfully boomer the spawn room. The only time I miss surge with my cloaker is trying to make it up camped tower stairs. With Surge I could usually lay one nice boomer and set it off before getting blown to bits, now I just get blown to bits.

imo, any cloaker who can get that close to an enemy spawn room without surge, deserves to get some kills from a boomer.

i didnt mind cloakers surge-boomering at all, heck, i used it on occasions also, but the surgung fat guys with lashers on secondary(ftramerate drain) severely annoyed me!

It's at this point I feel the need to point out that Lashers don't have a secondary mode.

i was jokingly referring to the alter effect it has on framerate especially when surging made framerate drops so severe that users would warp all over the place making it impossible to hit up close. it ws exploited and seemed as an alternate way of using lasher, like a secondary mode

I miss surge. And before you call me a surgile killwhore, I should first tell you I only wore rexo, and never surgiled.

I miss it because it added a lot of variety. You used to see all kinds of loadouts. Nowadays all you see is the same damn thing. Rexo/HA/pshield. That is it.

Never honestly had a problem with surgile users. Honestly, I loved them. Only took two hammer shots to smack them down ;P
