Warhammer 40k dawn of war.

Anyone here downloaded the open beta? I got it. What can I say? Its fuckn' awsome!

This game kicks soo much ass. It's exactly like the board game on the computer. You've got your difficult terrain and cover to give you extra defence.

I just want to know because im willing to play a round with some folks here.

My orks will kick your ass any day.

I want to call you on that 25k point army.... even a 5,000 point army took at least 3 months to make. If you had IP, then painting all those li'l guardsmen would've taken a bit, and the tanks would've taken a bit to paint, unless you didn't, but I should shut up now because I think I'm starting to sound like an idiot.

Link please?

Open beta is on fileplanet. Take a number...

I know what you mean. Haven't played Warhammer 40k in a year now. Don't have the time and patience for it anymore. But this game seems like a great substitute.

16 Eldar Council Seers or whatever, with their double swords, + the Eldar Commander chick = Ownage. They seriously won't die.

They just picked the more "popular" and easy to recognize races, for simplicity, and for balance reasons (Pretty hard to balance 10+ completely seperate races all against eachother)

This game really does rock.

My only problem is the entire micro-management aspect.

I give my troops Grenades it would be swell for them to just use them when Apporopriate, not require me to select the squad, click on grenade button, Select target, then do it again for each squad I want using Nades... Or tank bustas, or what have you.

Other then that I find this to be a pretty satisfying RTS... not as good as some, but with the 40k feel and fluff it's worth it.

Oh yeah, and why do ann Gretchins sound like Ghoulum?

I love gretchins, I don't know if you still can, but in v1, you could reinforce with no cost, so you could make swarms of midgets with knives and guns.
