I thought this was interesting.
On my way home from wherever I happened to be at the time, My cd started skipping on track 5. This is a store-bought CD, completely legitimate. Track 6, Skips. 7, Skips 8-10 skips. 11 is fine. So, with this many damaged tracks, I obviously cant enjoy the full product which I purchased. Now, here is the question - because I bought the CD, does that wave me from downloading the entire album again, to burn to cd, as a replacement? Discuss.

yes, you own the license to the album, the cd itself is just a physical representation of that license.
