it's had rave reviews since its release ... in april.

edit: keep in mind it's a "romantic comedy" (genre commonly known as a "chick flick")

Yes.

Also keep in mind that it loses its light-heartedness a bit later on in the movie. It's not as much a parody as I initially thought it'd be. I mean, it is, but it actually tries to be something of a zombie movie at parts too.

I've actually heard this from a lot of people. That's unfortunate.

i'm enthusiastic about it.. and, to get me enthused about a movie takes quite a bit. i'm a skeptic when it comes to movies of whom the director i've never heard.
