I'm sure this will happen. During the letter from Samhayne, after he had been recently promoted, he said he wanted to have stuff to fight for, like monthly campaigns or something. I'm sure this is just one step on the road to that goal, and I am sure we'll be seeing more of this sort of stuff as well.
