EQII: First Impression

Well first off, let me say you cannot compare EQII and WoW very well. The styles of play are so radically different.

I say this because its quite obvious that EQII and WoW are in different leagues all together.

WoW is not a bad game, its just... not as indepth. I do NOT say this disparingly , its just the truth.

EQII's graphics, on my machine, are incredible. The easy of use of the GUI, its a very nice change over the old EQI days lol.

The voice acting realy is a nice touch, imerssion, I think has been used to describe it, and rightly so.

EQII has a much deeper RPG system then WoW, and a far deeper item/monster database. That being said, its not for everyone, that I can tell right off the bat. I am an old hand at RPG's, and this game, so far is midly overwhelming.

I'll be back in two days after I have hit lvl 12 to give an equivilent WoW lvl comparison.

But if you have a comp that can run EQII at high end, then I suggest you give it a try.

that's one of the things I hate about WoW... it's just too simplified.

It's good for pick up and play ability though, and has drawn in alot of players.

I did enjoy EQ2 for the week or two I had it in Closed Beta, Its alot less overwheliming then EQ. Its simplified to the point where its not as complicated as SWG and therefor still fun. I like WoW for alot of reasons, It really just depends on what kind of RPG style you like to play.
