I live out in BFE and don't have cable available to me for like another 5 or 6 months. I want to buy this game, but fear what it will be like running on 56K. EQ runs fine with no complaints, but this is a FPS. Can somone please tell me what they think it will be like running on 56K. is it worth buying?

the devs say 56k will run it ok, but my guess is that you will have lag in the huge battles (100+ per side), but you should be ok other than that. I am sure that we will know more after the beta gets underway.

It probably wouldnt be unplayable but it may be VERY slow in large battles.

Please, no FPS has ever been 56k friendly with more than 30 people in an area. You will be a driver/recon player/engineer/medic and other such roles in low conflict areas.

god damnit I hate 56kers !!! Every time they lag and u say leave they say "Hey FUCK YOU FUCK BALL". I wish they would make a game that didn't support 56kers. Lag free... it would be like a world without lawyers

And quit being so vehement, not everyone can get broadband (I finally got mine only by moving), or willing to pay $70 a month.

if i was running on 56k i woukd simply not buy this game because of all the greif that ud get from guys with their brand new 3.03ghz systems with a t1 line yelling at you because their ping is at 30 and not at like 5.
