Prob old to everyone out there but..

Dedenimuls and I were playing WoW the other day and she asked if I had a radio tucked away somewhere so we could listen to some tunes while we played. I don't actually have one, my best stereo is my PC...

I normally play my 300 .mp3's through winamp.. but I got the impression my music selection was getting stale for her.

So she suggested Yahoo Launch..

I had NEVER heard of this. So we logged in and started listening (Coincidently, suscom, my ISP just opened my pipe from 756k DL to 7 Megs.. I got the notice in the mail.. that day actually)

So we were listening and the free "medium" quality was not all that great, I could hear the distortion and such. So I dropped the 3.99 and subscribed for a month, besides, I detest commercials. WOW.

What a difference. So now we play WoW and jam to what ever we are in the mood for. If we are playing our alt Rogues.. Industrial fits. When it's just me, I leave it on Classic Rock and am happy as a clam.

Anyone else use this service??

I occasionally use the Yahoo Launch on the messenger, but mostly I use my 3000+ song collection on WMP/WA.

I have Yahoo Launchpad. It rocks - you don't have to listen to a bunch of utter garbage and utter shit.

Like, as if, shah... as an example, if I want to hear some good old ass-kicking White Zombie, I don't have to suffer a bunch of crybaby pseudo-emo pussy Linkin Park horseshit in order to enjoy one good tune. I don't need to wade through thirty minutes of fake hiphop and pseudo-rap and pop-punk sell-outs if I feel like listening to 'variety' music.

And metal is metal. Not a bunch of lamer former dot-coms who got sold into slavery because their I-heart-wookies.com website failed miserably, and so now they're raging against the machine because no one gave a shit about their angst and prison rape. Just pure raw fucking original skull-crushing metal, by real metal-heads.

Dude, I have yahoo mail, and I've never paid a cent for launch. Assuming that launch is the yahoo music service.

My DSL connection is subscribed with SBC which uses Yahoo...and I don't pay one red cent for it. Oh and I use Launchcast at work and home. At first I hated it, but when I started rating the music, it wasn't long before it was playing what I wanted.
