Next Saturday, June 11th, I get re-married.
I cannot believe my good fortune in meeting this wonderful woman.
Allow me a moment to share with you a tale of happiness.
After my ex left me, took the kids and all, I was despondent to say the least, I was drinking, every night. Probably was boderline suicidal, I saw the edge of the abyss of self-destruction and was staring at it.
My friends talked me into posting an internet "personal" on a certain website. So I did, but wasn't having any luck. I told my father, who promptly warned me against meeting anyone on line, and that night, sitting at my computer flipping through the ads, I saw HER.
I was intrigued, but nothing more, so I sent an email because she was the only conservative gamer out of 500 ads in Maine.
we emailed back and forth for 2 months, and finally met in late Januaray 2004.
We went bowling. And ended up watching Spiderman at my house after missing the last showing of LOTR.
We hit it off from the word go, in June of 2004 I took her to meet my family and my kids. They all got along famously and in October, I asked her to marry me.
A journey I didn't expect to embark on, began 18 months ago, and new one begins. I cannot wait. I never thought I would re-marry, let alone to someone so... wonderful. The Good Lord has blessed me in this, and I shall ever be thankful.
