But, I'm not exactly a coder...I've heard of PHPNuke, but I wanted to see if anything comparable had better features or something...

Basically just needs scalability and as many features as possible in one package.

Any recommendations?

hmm not sure - when I was creating PSU I spent a ton of time trying to find something good but never had much luck.

Home grown is best! However, the only portal I would consider would be one based on vBulletin. Ones built on IPB, and and most of all, phpBB are poopy.

That makes sense, since that seems to be what yall did for PSU

I'm making a website and a forum for this though, and want it as streamlined as possible. So I figured PHP was the best for that. Are you saying it's not?
