How many Tribes 2 players we got on this ship, anyway? The outfit I'm in, Varangian Guard, has a large number of Tribes 2 Renegades players in it. Who else out there is a Triber? and what to you will be the biggest compensation for loss of jetpacks?

I was a triber since the game came out. I just stopped playing the game completely like a week and a half ago. Been playing BF1942 with the rest of my CDL buddies.

i bought Tribes 2 and it didnt work, so i returned it and boguht something else.

Well tribes 2 sucked I hated the jetpacks ,im gonna be pissed if this game plays to much like Tribes

I was a Tribes player for 2 years,spent time in the clans GoD,SKILZ,CFL,SunTzu,5150(my favorite and best tribe) and a few others SMURFS ALL DA WAY hehe that clan was gay

Yup...T2'er here. I currently play T2 part time for |BRO| (which incidentally has nothing to do with my callsign). I play Battlefield 1942 with my clan New Century Gamers.

Since SmokeJumper was a big part of the Dynamix team that developed Tribes so I EXPECT it to play a LITTLE like Tribes.

I expect it to be a WHOLE lot more, tho too... hehehe

hah. firecracker is bsing. If you were in the smurfs, then you weren't in 5150. For those of you who don't know, 5150 was like THE best team in t2. Just the way you type gives it away that you were never apart of 5150.

never said i was in smurfs,but i still knew of them,they had one of the most people in it besides the clans created after froums closed to make there own forums,they had ALOT in em
and yes i was in |5150| my name was RedDragon and if u played on our east server alot you woulda saw me,been awhile tho quit during the summer,clan died down

Tribes 1 here. Never did like T2 too much. I too would hate it if PS played a lot like T2 becuase it just had the wrong balanced of speed vs tactics. T1 was a lot better in that respect, and it was simpaler.

...Tribes 2 was a disaster. And Planetside doesn't need to compensate for jet packs. The vehicles mass murder the jet packs. Plus Planetside is on such a larger scale than T2. Nothing compares.

Tribes 2 wasn't a disaster but it wasn't without it's problems. If you had the patience to stick out the glitches and what not you would have realized that it's actually a great game. People who also took the time to learn the game instead of being frustrated at the learning curve got to enjoy the game for all that it was.

As for comparing tribes to planetside, it's one of the only games that you can really compare it to. Futuristic team-based fps. Granted the games are on completely different scales but the basic idea is still there, "defeat the other team".

Look up, it doesn't say who *doesn't* play Tribes 2. It says "Who does"

I played T2 for a little bit. Never really got into it as I like BF1942 more.
