Hey all.

I stopped playing planetside a year or two ago. My memory is fuzzy, but I think it was a little before the advertisements were added in.

However, recently, I've been craving some epic shootings, and reminded myself that planetside might still be good.

So I guess what I'm asking is, what is the state of PS? Is it good enough for me to resub, or has it gone downhill drastically, the only players being those who have a lot of time invested in their characters?

I was in the same boat, I hadn't played since February of 2004 when the game really started to tank. I did a trial back in January this year and the game is garbage even more so. I was on at primetime and there was one battle going on the whole world. The lag was just as bad, and there was no sense of anything worthwhile occurring other than 30 people running into each other.
