Answer: Surely, not enough.
By the way, the Confederacy is dead, quite dead. They lost the war that they started, got their asses handed to them in the end (just ask any one from Georgia). Even their money isn't worth anything as a collectors item.

Oh we know that. Its just the spirit of rebels. Besides, with the way Bush is going half the people I know sorta want to rebel and end the government as given our rights by the Declaration of Independence. I honestly believe the same thing, the current government is starting to fail. Its becoming too common place to just stagnate on something for years and years. Decisions have to made quickly sometimes. Our government is anything but quick.
In my eyes the flag represents everything American. Free speech being way the hell up there. The freedom to live by what you believe in (no not racism). It no longer symbolizes the Confederation. It represents the mind set of a people, that being that the way our country is, is absolutely revolting. Revolting in the way drugs rule the streets instead of the cops. Revolting how murder, rape, and, theft are statistics instead of atrocities in a broad view. Also in my opinion revolting that people are judged and segregated based on religion, race, and sexual orientation. Yes! You read it here. I am NOT racist. I hate racists. Racists are arrogant. Racists are *******. The word ****** means arrogant. Thats how I use it. Anyways.... back to the subject at hand. The flag isn't a symbol of the South or Slavery for everyone. For some, such as my self, its a symbol of America. |

The declaration of independence doesn't actually give us any rights. Anywho: The flag is still a symbol of oppression. You can't just take that away. Just like the swastika - just becasue you want it to mean something else doesn't mean it's going to. I understand your point, but the flag still carries it's racist symbolism with our collective psyche.

Because the democrats don't have a snowflake's chance in hell of winning.
And moderate republicans have about the same odds for getting nominated. Personally (and yes, this may well be the apocalypse) I'm supporting Ron Paul (R - Texas). He has a good stand on most of the issues that matter to me, and isn't a right wing nut job. Unfortunately, it'll never happen, as I said, he's not a right wing nut job.

There are two words that should make you not support him, or gravell(the other internet favorite): Fair Tax. A regressive tax is not what you want to base a progressive tax system on.

Yeah, but from my point of view, no one is better.
You have Clinton and Obama on one side and "The Hero of New York" on the other. The entire thing makes me sick, and I at least have some closure in that the candidate I'm supporting is the best candidate from my point of view. It's the lesser of two evils, seems to be a going theme recently.

I personally like Obama.
He's a very smart guy, and he's at least good at pretending he's different from the standard fair candidate. I wish he'd find a backbone and come out stronger against special interests and the war. I can't support hillary, even though I quite like Bill, she's a bitch, TBH.

Obama? The guy has like zero political experience. Its like he fell out of the sky, decided he was the only educated black man on the planet and screamed "I SHALL BE PRESIDENT!" and some retard thought it was a good idea.
Im really getting sick of all these shitty candidates. In 1776 look at all those great leaders we had in the country. Now 235 years later we have oooh idk 200x the population but we cant find ONE good leader? Wtf? |

That's simply not that case. Our leaders of old have been idealized to a very very large extent.
