That sucks, a lot. Id impale one on a stick at the end of the driveway as a warning to others.
You could be Hamma, The mouse impala.

I was asking myself the same thing, "where is the rodent?"
But yeah, I see the damage to the hose line. What is that line for? I would assume the a/c, in which the mouse probably died from eating the refrigerant, but can't really tell. |

Its long done now, can't void my warranty. Plus not to mention I don't have the equipment to lift my car and remove an entire gas tank, it would have ended up costing more than it did

Newer cars parts = $$$ Doing the actual work yourself on that car would suck.

The tanks are expensive, but to drop a tank out its a grand total of about an hour tops. cyphon (sp?) as much as you can out, clamp the line to the engine with a pair of vice grips, pull the line and let more gas out, remove screws holding input to tank, remove the strap/ binding / 2 bolts / mount on the side of the outlet and let the tank hang while letting more gas out, remove other restraint and take out the tank. Granted IF you have lift this is easy other wise its nigh on impossible. They also can be mounted over an axle or something retarded giving you a headache. Other than that its a pretty easy job.
(I realize hamma already had it done, Im just making conversation) |
