Going to sound really stupid as I do play it but...
How the hell do I know if I'm a lefty or a righty? I play like a righty right now because I was taught so in high school... but I've never felt 100% comfortable... hell I even write right handed and I used to be a lefty as a child... I know, stupid question but still... if there's a test or something I can do... before I invest any more money/time into possibly being on the wrong side. Hell I was thinking of purchasing a Les Paul sometime soon (a year or two) but no way I'm spending 3000$ on a guitar if I'm going to find out I'm not on the good side o.

Sounds like you might be ambidextrous. Have you ever tried playing a lefty guitar? Go to your local guitar shop and pick up a lefty and pick around on it. See if it feels any better than your righty guitar.
To be honest, in your case, I'd say just stick with the right since that's the way you learned it. As for being left/right handed, it doesn't matter all that much. If you write with your right hand but like to use your left for other things, then so be it! You're ambidextrous!

Went to Steve's music store this morning. Now I know I'm right handed and thanks to christmas gifts/money put away and a friend who's been shopping there for a long while...
