You're right CNN, most FPS aren't designed to take skill to play. Anyone can pick up Quake, CS, UT, etc and just own. This is the first game to add skill to getting kills.

Most of their reviews make me face palm but this one takes the cake.

All they're doing is repeating the game's taglines and mechanics.

Which really are "Kill with skill" and "skillshots"
So it's not like they weren't starting with lame to begin with.

Oh, I know that. But it's supposed to be review and not a sales pitch. :|

Call me crazy, but I actually like that video games are getting more and more mainstream press. Sure, the review sounds like my mom trying to describe the game to my dad, but any press is good press. It's good to see that people are finally starting to see video games as legitimate entertainment and art like books or film as opposed to still being Pac-Man. It's like the guys from Penny Arcade being named to the Time 100. The gaming world is growing up.

yeah but once it gets mainstream we have to move on to something else or risk becoming plastic

let's start playing board games again, nobody does that anymore

I still don't understand the one liner in every bulletstorm ad, "kill with skill". I've not noticed bullet storm taking any more skill then your average shooter today, and definitely not as much skill as old school shooters.

The line should of instead said, "kill with style", fits much better.

CNN is a news company. Their job is to hype shit and sensationalize it, to garner attention.

Better then Fox News trying to scare parents. UHG. I hate their reviews.

If you wanting gaming news, hit a gaming news site. If you want Current Events, politics, weather... hit a news site.
