Any type of gaming on satelite internet is going to give u a sky rocketing ping.

My friend has satelite, uploads at 56k speed, downloads at 1mb per second, its awesome. Mostly due to the fact that the tiny dish is very weak transmittor (uploading) and the dish thats sending out the signal is huge (downloading) so satelite internet can be good, or bad, good for dling, bad for gaming

horrid for gaming, but good for downloading. Fixed wireless is supposed to be really good for gaming though, might look into that
