I remember the very first time I played tribes in 1998. was amazing. even played it on dial up until I went to broadband a year later.

Deff one of my fav games of all time

I agree, its just nice to see a good old game remade nevertheless.

It will prob not even be like tribes more like Call of duty with jetpacks and skis lol

That looks just like tribes 2 with better graphics to me. In any case its better than vengeance which I am sad to say I wasted my money on.

UT3 was the worst of its series, if tribes were going to be compared to any of the UT games it would be UT2004. UT3 was dark, bland, slow, and just down right awful.

I hope that wasn't toward me. I wasn't comparing tribes directly, I was just suggesting that "IF" you did compare it to any of the Unreal games(which he did), It would be closest to UT2004.

With that said, yea tribes was tons of fun back in the day, it's uniqueness of jetpacks/skiing really added something that no other game had. Definitely one of the most skillful FPS games out there.

Never played Tribes online because I didn't have an Internet connection back then, but had loads of fun in Tribes 2. Tribes Vengeance... what is this game of which you speak?

Looks good but I'm a little apprehensive about the payment model. It would probably still work out cheaper than buying the game + subscription but for some reason I'm still averse to paying to use stuff
