Oh, yeah. Gotta fix that. Passable in old school PS1 era games, to some degree, but if we've got reflections on eyeballs in PS2, ya gotta fix that shit.
The detail is great. It's nice to have solid pictures of all three empires armor. It gives a lot more of a complete sense of how battles will look, seeing the art direction between all three sides. What your friends and enemies will look like up close. Don't shoot until you see the reflections on their eyes! You can absolutely see the difference between areas that have received more polish and areas that are still being worked on. The fully finished environments with all placeholder textures replaced are going to be stunning, although the environments already looks pretty stunning with those atmospheric effects. Are you sure that shit runs in real time? (goes back and rewatches AGN footage) Dayum. Good stuff. |

Along with graphics, game engines are typically focusing on pumping out the most from even crappy machines.
But then, when you're developing a game you're planning to keep running and for people to keep playing for years to come, it might not be such a bad idea to set a maximum graphics bar that runs well under mid-high end rigs 4-5 years down the road. I mean, look at Battlefield 3. A lot of people are probably only running that on High settings. In a few years, everyone that likes to play games should be able to run it on Ultra, unless they're still on their WoW era machines (but then wth are they doing playing BF3?) |

I just now noticed the right shoulder. I kept looking at the left one. Then again it looks like the very left soldier has the same. Looks more like tubing, as Khell has mentioned. Anywhoooo.. Last edited by Alaska; 2011-11-30 at 12:38 AM. |

Now that I look at this longer, I'm noticing A lot of reflections. The sides of the visor, the bottom of the beamer, the eyes, the left guys right shoulder, the bottom of the knuckles, and on and on. I really hope this dose not kill my PC.

Well, I guess there's still net traffic to worry about... |
