Character customization/rpg elements?

Will you be able to customize what your character's armors look like? Or do you have to play by their default look?
Are there any RPG elements to the game other than the story?

Also, are you able to have more than one character? For example, a character on the Vanu Sovereignty, and a character on the New Conglomerate?

It's been said you can customize the color of your armor within reason, I'm assuming you'll be able to purchase additional cosmetics for your armor in the future.

IIRC, you can only have 1 faction on a server atm. So you could have all 3 but they'd have to be on 3 different servers. (Although I'd assume during beta, so that people can test things we'll be allowed all three factions but that's just beta)

There will be a number of customization options available for your character allowing you to play in a way you enjoy. The certification system should also provide you progression you are familiar with in RPGs.

I am hoping there will be an area like Goldshire in World of Warcraft, like in a sort of non-combat area in the middle of each of the continents, maybe some sort of old medieval tavern where you can roleplay and really get into character, it is an MMO after all. I think weapons should be banned in that area so you can't grief or ruin immersion and hopefully there will be enough emotes to the game and the ability to sit on chairs (bar stools) and maybe play some bar-games. I believe bar minigames will extend the longlevity of the game substantially.

Maybe even support player marriages? It's a great addition to the community and as a roleplayer I really would like to express my affections for my future in-game love interest.

i'm all for the fleshing out of the social aspect in some way, but a medieval tavern? seriously?

Maybe we could even have some form of conversation options with other players. I'd love to see the angst of war expressed through conversation and maybe even a war-related poetry reading.

I didn't look twice at it until the dildo comment - then I saw it as a pregnant woman rotated 90 degrees to the right

I only "got it" when I read the Picard comment - that avatar really is too small!

)

It's just than sometimes when you see an image out of context on a badly angled laptop screen it's not always the correct interpretation that pops out first from my age-befuddled brain

(And yes, please take that as an apology in advance for when I TK a few of my VS bretheren at long distance on the first day of beta due to my dodgy eyesight!)
