Sorry for the quiz storm, but another question I have is about Medic and Engineer tools.
Defibs were a great way for a medic to kill a person in all Battlefields. Later repair tool joined the saver/killer ranks. How about a Nanite Repair Kit and a Medical Applicator able to damage enemies? And most importantly - will MAXes be vulnerable to those tools? Last edited by NewSith; 2012-04-07 at 07:10 PM. |

I can give you multiple examples of games with this mechanic, except for battlefield (TF, QW:ET are probably known the best). I just gave you this example because BF is probably the closest thing to PlanetSide that will ever exist.

I guess if you're talking about sticking a needle in someones throat, but then why not use a knife? Perhaps the medic "knife" could be a syringe or something for the lols? But I don't see how the nanite dispenser can function as both a healing and damage dealing item.

Oh well lets add guns that shoot muffins that can kill people. A trap is made like that so people dont greif, nothing more. People always take the "this isnt a realism game" route. Im just saying, the purpose of the tool is for healing and the nanites are made that way, if you had a replacement cartridge or something with killer nanites (wtflol) I guess its feasible but unecessary...

But no in all seriousness I think this is a wonderful idea. That way, when I want to be all medical, I can kill people slowly by deconstructing them over a long period of time while they sip tea and chat with me about their plans for taking over the base I'm defending. I would never need to shoot a gun again... And skitrel, your point was that there was nothing wrong with it and only positive stuff about it. My counter point is that there's nothing positive about it and only negative things. Counter away. You have no argument, except that it would be "funny" and some people "deserve it". Why do I get the feeling you are one of those people? Last edited by Blackwolf; 2012-04-07 at 09:41 PM. |

Nothing wrong with some humiliation weapons. If the enemy goes down to a repair tool in BF they damn well deserved it for being so incompetent, it's not an advantage and it's not damaging to the game in any way at all but it gives the benefit of being able to humiliate the incompetent people that either miss you when you repair torch them in the face or were herping the derp with their sniper rifle not paying attention. It's a positive with no negative, add it.
Not to mention it gives folks like birgirpall one more tool to make hilarious videos with. |
