Ubi Soft(r) Entertainment orders you to immediately remove the file from your site, 3dGamers, as you are in violation of statutory digital copyright laws and liable for fines of up to $100,000, in addition to financial ramifications stemming from breach of contract commitments between Ubi Soft(r) Entertainment and GameSpy Industries.

I dont understand Gamespy and what companies want with them, they are by far the worse possible download site ever created. And I refuse to download anything from them, ever. (not just because of this, because they suck)

Because Gamespy makes deals with these companies to have the exclusives. Not much they can do about it, unfortunatly 3dgamers was in the wrong about this one.

By making the download exclusive to gamespy more people will have to pay for the private fileplanet servers.

Of course P2P and IRC help solve this problem.

I actually pay for fileplanet, because I'm lazy. You can find anythign game-related and downloads are fairly fast w/o queue....

Of courese, im an idiot though.

I can usually find the new demo of ... pretty quickly, free and with no queue or very slow speeds.
