No. What's the point of jump infantry if everyone can jump. This applies to all jump pads btw, light infantry should be the only ones able to respond quickly across the battlefield, it's the reason(I assume) that they can only use carbines. Why be light infantry when you can jump across the battlefield in a MAX?

We had the teleports in PS after CC but I'd rather SOE keep things simple at launch and then add more. We've had too many MMOs try to be all things to all people like SWTOR and then launch and find out that most of it is broken lol.
Just keep things simple for now. |

I really like this idea, so long as it's not overused.
For the the purposes of clearing a wall, river or canyon, it could be incredibly useful when the main route is heavily fortified. Create some great flanking opportunities. When deploying, it'd be great to see the planned trajectory in a feint outline. Perhaps to avoid it being overused, it could be squad specific? Time-limited? Or require a high cert level and considerable amount of resources? |

Higby mentioned in his interview with Hamma that teleporters were in bases in addition to things like jump pads and gravity lifts, so I personally would rather get a deployable teleport like the Router was in PS1, rather than a portable jump pad. The jump pad will work better in fixed locations I believe.
