ambi-dextrous implant

just a very simple idea (and we are NOT talking akimbo rifles/pistols here)

when you run out of ammo in your mian gun, you relatively quickly(maybe 1/3 time of reloading) draw your pistol with your off hand and open fire slightly less accurately.

after that you are screwed cause how do you reload with a pistol in one hand and a rifle in the other. you holster the pistol and then reload the rifle and thus you has balance as you have a longer reload time AND you need to reload the pistol separately.

main use for this would be finishing off an enemy if you empty your mag in a fight.

Wouldn't we just change to our secondary weapon anyway? Or will this be much faster then the speed to change weapons?

i was thinking it would be a quick draw, but i do see your point. realistically it would be about half the time(slinging the rifle then drawing the pistol vs just drawing the pistol)

really its just something i thought would add some different dynamics to a fight (IDing who has it, who doesnt and when to find cover) and figured why not share it

I think everyone should be able to drop his main weapon and quikdraw his secondary for the finishing touch. Srsly what prevents you from loosing your grip and let your gun fall so you can unholster your pistol?

Unless you are a max ofcourse!

I'm hoping pistols are going to be useful, or else this might be irrelevant, but looking at assault rifles taking maybe 6 shots to kill, so that means pistols will take 10 shots, don't sound very useful as a weapon

Even better lets throw our guns at the enemy when we run out of ammo!

On a more serious note, I think it would be cool if we had the option to change what hand we use when hold a weapon or gadget. Some of us are left handed you know...

Well, Higby tweeted about 2-3 weeks ago when testing grenades that characters actually throw their guns instead of the grenade. I begged him to make it a feature!

Oh yes yes.. i wanted left handed weapons, shouldn't be too hard to implement, just flip our model, and flip our model compared to the enemy, or maybe being able to change hands in battle, because if you are in a corridor, as right handed you can shoot easily from the left side with no body showing, where as the right side you have to expose whole body to shoot, and vice versa for left handers. So an option to change hands in middle of battle would be cool.

I really don't think this would apply too much in a MMO game like PS2, and there's really a VERY limited area of application for this idea.....

*writes it down in personal game design documents for single player FPS*

I know quite a few players turn off auto reload. Especially those that use punishers.
