I really like the aspect of bullet drop in FPS games and challenge that comes with it, thus I was disappointed to here that the VS were missing out. What would you guys think about a side grade for VS weaponry that shot a different type of round, say plasma, or anything that would be effected by bullet drop with the benefit of retaining bullet damage over distance?

I support this sidegrade idea but I'm worried it could turn into "Well, the VS can sidegrade into ballistics, why can't we (TR and NC) sidegrade into lasers?" It likely wouldn't get as bad as I'm imagining it, but maybe I'm just preparing for the worst haha. In any case, I don't suspect that many of us, including the NC and TR, would be engaging enemies far enough away to really have to adjust for gravity or worry about losing damage, and if we are we'll have some fire support anyway. Plus, we don't even know how far it will appear before these mechanics SEEM to take effect.
And as far as the extra skill required for bullet drop, for all we know, the enemy might be just large enough to be seen accurately in the ironsights and the bullets still won't have any noticeable drop. So by the time you figure out where the bullets drop to, you might not even be able to see the enemy anyway. Just how I feel about it. |

Yea, I just like being able to land those really far shots where your leading and aiming above a running enemy. I think a big part of this has to do with being in the millitary and being trained to adjust for range and wind. I just like the dynamics of it all.
