Planetside abbreviations?

Excuse me if it's been asked before, but search didn't come up with any results.


Every MMO has it's own lingo and specific abbreviations for places, items and people in game, is there a list of abbreviations available somewhere so I know what the vets are talking about?

squishy - foot zerg (not max)
vanny - vanguard
mag - magrider
baby tank - lightning
bang bus - sunderer
mossy - mosquito
sg - skyguard
ce - deployables from comat enginner

Didn't use much else, no need for them on TS.

Some of them are pretty straightforward, like mossie for Mosquito or gal for Galaxy. There's also

noobhammer - jackhammer
disco - lasher
biffer - BFR (not relevant in PS2)
cc - control console (maybe this will be cp now for capture point)

And of course
Elmos - TR
Barnies - VS
Smurfs - NC

Adding to the list:

Gal - Galaxy dropship
Gal drop - Gal dropping troops on a target
Sanc - Sanctuary (won't matter in PS2)
Sanc locked - Being pushed back to your sanctuary
Gen - Generator
BD - Back Door (won't matter in PS2)
WG - Warp Gate

Then there is the usual AI, AA, AV which I assume you already know.

Didn't show up in my search as I didn't use "slang" as a search word

Nothing on the Wiki either, where I searched first which made me search here. Other MMOs I played had either a compiled list on the Wiki or a sticky post on on the newbie forum.

Some abbreviations are indeed easy to figure out, but it's good to be able to read a thread and not going WTF?

I heard the Lightning tank referred to as a Paper Tank on more than one occasion, but yeah, never heard Baby Tank.

glue gun - Repair Tool (mostly the one for Vehicles, but some people also refer to the personal repair tool as "Glue gun")
gal - Galaxy
gen - Generator
cc - Control Console
llu - Lattice Logic Unit (Compareable to the flag in capture the flag. Needed to take over certain bases.)
jh - Jackhammer
mcg - Mini-Chaingun
bd - Backdoor
os - Orbital strike
rexo - Reinforced exo suit. The heaviest normal armor in Planetside.
pj / pyjama / pajama - The standard spawn armor.
