Indirect Damage


Couple of things I want to know, and I doubt many of you know this as well, but some may know. Can falling debris actually hurt you if they manage to somehow land directly on your head? Who would get the kill if that happened? And also will you take damage if a ground vehicle happens to blow up near you?

I think someone asked about the falling debris at some point and the answer was yes, it can kill you. And I don't know if the exploding vehicle issue has been addressed, but it was very much something to worry about in PS1, so I would assume PS2 will be the same in that respect.

But who will get the kill? The people that were in the vehicle that blew up? Or the guy who blew the vehicle to hell? Or nobody at all? That's what I want to know.

Don't think that was addressed. I would think it would just be an environment kill and nobody would get the credit, like fall damage.

Would be awesome if you take down a galaxy, it falls down and kills some infantry on the ground, and you get all those kills.

I would expect it to be the same as in PS1 (whoever destroyed the vehicle)

Isn't fall damage classed as suicide? In most games that I have seen, any damage incurred by a falling, pilotless vehicle or debris is usually classed as suicide. Unfortunately.

we've heard of a drop pod for a squad respawn landing on a mossy on its way down and blowing it up, so im guessing a mossy falling on you will do the same.

Day 3 of E3, in the last 5 minutes, a drop pod destroyed Liberator killing 2 people that were inside, the drop pod is actually a pretty good artillery type IMO.

I hope that all indirect damage is pretty high, it adds to the game, not fussed if we/I don't get the kill count for it, just so long as it really adds to the pain

On the topic of indirect damage however, my only real concern is the colossal amount of damage incurred from crashes. I mean you see a normal person fall from the top of an amp station pipe and have hardly any damage, but we see a lightning tank at practically full health blow apart because it tapped a wall with its flank! That is something I think really needs some drastic number changes on.

They have already addressed this issue and said they will be fixing that.
