I havn't seen anything about this, but can we change what hand our weapons are in? Not only to fight around corners more effectively, but we can choose to be left handed like we are in real life. But i would mostly use it when i was using cover, allows me to only expose tiny amount of body when looking around corners.

I don't think this is a good idea for that exact reason. People would just macro hotswap the hand their weapon is in so they could peak around whatever corner angle they happen to be on more effectively. If it is an option, they should just flat-out give us a hotkey for it so we aren't stuck with a macro.
And, I haven't seen that answered anywhere. |

Doubt it, that'd be a ton of work. They'd have to have mirrored animationed for that, and that could get very messy. And if that doesn't sound tough enough, they would have trouble in the graphical sense, such as the guns firing the empty bullet casings to the RIGHT. You could say things such as "There is no such thing as a left handed soldier", because most guns are made for right handed people. Left handed guns are generally custom made and expensive.
But yeah, would take a TON of work to make it all left handed, or else it would look VERY wonky. |

my buddy was made to shoot left handed in the army due to the fact that he can actually hit a target when shooting that way.
I would like to see a switchable style or even a select during character creation primarily because it always feels off to me as a left handed shooter to always have a weapon in the right hand. |

But yeah, animation mirroring is much harder than it seems and causes all sorts of issues. For once, they actually program in where the bullet comes from and all this. Now, think on that as a single entity, double it, and now it has to keep track of that. Now, add in 1000 people, see how odd it sounds? It's a lot more complex than that, but code loves to get tied into knots and it takes a LOT of work to keep it from doing so. |

Yeah, I don't really have much of a clue when it comes to these things... but I can imagine it's more of a hassle than one would think it is. So much more going on under the hood than what we see on screen.
Anyway, I suppose it's kind of the same for you though, isn't it? I mean you sohuld get used to the right hand after awhile, no?
