Considering that the Devs want to bring back most of the vehicles from Planetside, what new vehicles do you think they will create just for PS2, what will they do, and what are its benefits and weaknesses? Personally, I hope they'll add empire specific troop transports that are more in line with their empire. So that the VS's transport hovers, and the NC's transport is falling apart.

I'd be satisfied with more chassis that simply looked different, but were otherwise the same as any other vehicle of their type. So another type of visual customization basically. This would automatically be "balanced", while also being fun to use.
Hmmm... That said, I think it would be cool to have a MAX suit (for all factions) that could travel quickly under water, have a 50% slower land walking speed, but a 150% faster land sprint speed (same duration). I'd spec mine dual flame throwers. lol... Last edited by Tatwi; 2012-07-03 at 01:23 AM. |

Whilst maybe not being the most combat effective vehicles, the assault buggys, the mini transports and there variants were great funto play and "most" of the them were deadly in specific situations. Adding lots of them would take a while though so as you say variants that do the same but look different adds variety on the battle field. |

I think the AMS will make a comeback in one form or another. Sure the Galaxy spawns people, and you can fly it, but you don't always need mobility. Sometimes you just need to get into really weird places, and the AMS was amazing at that.
Assuming the devs could come up with a way for artillery to be fun and not overpowered, there will always be a spot for it in PS2. I can't picture the router making a return. While fun things did happen due to it, it did kind of break gameplay. One cloaker sneaks past, and an entire empire can follow. There is always naval and space combat, but each of those deserve their own topics. I think everything else can be solved with variants and modifications. One a side note.... Why does everybody assume the NC tech isn't functional? Just because it is repurposed, doesn't mean it doesn't work. WWII people... WWII!

Speaking of the router, I hope they don't add any of the Ancient Technology vehicles, they were so out of tune from the rest of the vehicle. |

I see plans within plans!
seems maybe the first "light" troop transport might be NS common pool, Deliverer style but probably with interchangeable weapon hard points. for faction buggies we'll need to wait a bit longer but so far all signs point to their return in the near future

They didn't have weapons on the first sunderer screens either. They'll just be addon turrets.
For ground vehicles: - A light recon vehicle. PS1 buggies, but I hate the term buggy, so I'm not calling it that. I'd definitely love if they all hovered and had battlezone 2 style handling. TR/NC can have thruster graphics to differentiate them from vanu tech. This would give all factions some hover capability. - A heavy tank. For aircraft - A 2 man attack helo type vehicle. Very slow, always in vtol mode, so no transition to level flight. Built like a tank and meant for close in air support. - A 5 man transport aircraft - Possibly a vehicle transport. |

I'd like to see Nanite Systems buggies, Driver + 1 Passenger that can shoot his weapons from the passenger seat + 1 Turret Gunner on the back. Otherwise I really can't think of anything else that the game could use that isn't covered by a possible variant of one of the existing vehicles. That said I'd love to see the Flash get models that would be like motorcycles. |
