The MMORPG with simplest gameplay mechanics...

I'm looking for it.
To be more specific, I'm looking for something with gameplay similar to what WoW's Burning Crusade or possibly even WotLK was. And no, this isn't (just) a nostalgia trip. Did you play when warlocks were at their best when they just spammed shadowbolt? Do you remember when holy Paladins used 2 or maybe 3 different heals during a fight?

That's what I want. I love the MMORPG genre, but I'm just not a micromanagement person. So I'm calling on the wisdom of the forum... what's the game for me?

Or, perhaps, ProgressQuest.

Guild wars 2 will be fun, when it comes out, i played the beta for it and it was good, but it's not out untill the end of august

It sounds like simplicity of used skills is what you want, but with rich gameplay behind it. As someone else mentioned Guild Wars 2 has a very simply skill layout, as does The Secret World. I have community members in both games (GW2 is doing beta weekends) and both groups of people love their respective game.

Yeah, that's probably a better way to say it. I want to challenge my ability to quickly identify/select targets and avoid fight mechanics as DPS. And I want to challenge my ability to triage friendlies and respond to damage quickly as a healer. I don't want to watch 6 different cooldowns, constantly change rotation based on resources, or have to do X a certain number of times before I do Y.

It looks like I'll be checking out Guild Wars 2!

ProgressQuest is excellent. I recommend it.
