 )(Second: Look at this to get the feeling: !) So it`s now the second day for me on the front line and I already have lost half of my men. Sons and fathers, mothers and daughters that took up the rifle and decided to fight off the NC terrorists hiding in there caves and the Vanu boys once and 4 all from this planet now lie dead out in the waste land, Probably getting looted by the NC soldiers and run over by the VANU`s mighty mag riders without mercy. My unit have been pulled back after heavy losses against the NC scum on top of the Crown during the last nights clash, and I fear that we will loose even more men when we head up there this night, but for now we take a rest in one of the bunkers behind our front lines. Every day I see galaxy's fly overhead with more of our soldiers to the meat grinder, and every day I see new respawn tubes being lifted into place because the old ones were over used. When will this war end? I don`t know, But what I know is that we wont stop fighting until every last VANU and NC lie dead under our boots. Our commander that said that I should take my men up to the crown yesterday is dead now I heard on the radio for a while ago, He had been peaking up behind a wall and a stealth vanu sniper had taken his head off, Poor guy. I can't imagine the horror 4 the poor kids that was ordered to guard him when he fell down to the ground with no head, and they were trapped out in the wasteland, with no back up or no way to escape, maybe they found a place to hide in the cliffs, Either way I will look for them tomorrow. "The alarm suddenly go off" ALL TERRAN SOLDIERS TO THE FRONT LINE !!! INCOMING NC / VAN ATTACK!!!!!!! Bah. Vanu again? They never learn do they, NC is nothing that TERRAN fear, They have never been anything else then target practice on the battlefields for us but the VANU - They are an other deal, they have the mighty mag riders that still gives me Goosebumps just thinking about them. They are a good enemy I give them that but only one will stand victory after this battle is over. (A galaxy landing outside) Our new commander barely 25 years old it looks like now stand in the door shouting at the tired, afraid men and woman looking up on him, Ordering them to take there seats in the galaxy for a galaxy drop. When I look at there faces I see fear, but I see something else to, I see HATE... HATE for all the brothers and sisters that lie dead on the battlefield, HATE for the NC TERRORISTS and the VAN scum, and THAT HATE feeds our war machine and make it stronger then ever. The Galaxy blow up dust in the air making it hard to see where you going, When I stop for a second and inspect that my rifle is up to shape I catch the pilot eye. He is nodding his head towards me like he was saying: Give them hell soldier, And I will. Don't take me wrong now readers, I am grateful for that thought he gave me with the nod, But he don't know how it is on the ground after a galaxy drop. Often we loose 5 men in the air and when on the ground 10 more. Its a war without mercy, and they fly high up in the air with escorts while we fight the dirty war on the ground. We take our place in the galaxy and take off, its a 3 minute ride to where the drop will be and the inside of the aircraft is dead silent. Some of the men are looking at there family photos from back home wile other just sit silently looking down at the floor. A young guy named Mike try to fire up the squad with some words about how we will crush the VANU on the ground below us, and it works for a second, The fear in the eyes from my fellow soldiers change to hate and to the sound of rifles stomping the galaxy floor wile we head out over our frontline. Our pilot say that we are now in hostile area and its not long before we start to feel the first anti aircraft fire, Thru the windows I can see our mosquito escorts breaking off to attack the ground targets and they disappear below the clouds, Now we are alone, again. The green light lights up the inside of the galaxy with a spooky glow, ordering us with silence to stand up over the doors on the floor. The heavy maxes in the front with there dual chaingunns and then the heavy assault and after that its me, the squad leader and then the medic and in the back 2 snipers. 5 SECONDS I hear the pilot say GIVE THEM HELL SOLDIERS !!! And we answer: ""ORAH ! FOR THE TERRAN REPUBLIC LOYALTY UNTIL DEATH AND BEYOND!!" The doors open in mill seconds and we fall true the air... To glory, to victory.. We are the terran. We are DEATH. (I got pm,s that I should continue the story so here we go)
You know fellow reader, You are able to think a lot when you are in the air after a galaxy drop. All that fear and doubt goes right out of your head and everything you learned back at the TERRAN academy from the drill sergeant screaming in your face show up like pictures before your eyes. Find your lane in the air, Landing boosters should be engaged 3m from the ground, Get rdy for the G- force, Bend your knees at landing, rifle on auto, check your area before you land, mark targets on the way down, remember where they are going and how many they are, Is there a tank on the ground, Is there a plane diving after you from above? The drill sergeant said that after you hit ground you have usually 3 seconds to find cover. Three second you think, Three second is a lot of bullets coming against you, In three seconds usually 30% of the galaxy drop forces get wiped out, 3 seconds you think.... The speedometer on your hud says 10 meters to in pact, 6 meters, 3 meters, Gravity boosters on, brace for in pact. You land hard but you land in the correct way so the force shield take much of the damage given, You throw yourself into cover next to a wall just to peak out to see that a compressed light round from a vanu rifle rip the corner of the wall to peaces. Mike the young guy that fired up the squad in the galaxy seconds ago now hit the ground with a thump. You realize quickly that he released his gravity boosters to late and is now in the middle of the courtyard with a broken leg. You scream at him to stay down but in his confused and horror he still try to crawl next to the wall, Just to drag the vanu,s attention to him. Second later 5 plasma rounds rip thru his body armor and out on the other side, He is dead. Barely 20 years old, that is to young you think wile you firing of some rounds around the corner. The radio is all static but you still can hear something that sound like words between the gun fire and the sparkle from the radio: *We ha... To.. Retreat....there ...to... Man...* *No Retreat... sol...er. You fi... or you di..* The radio cuts out again, you realized that alpha squad that had jumped down on the different side of the complex you now were at were under heavy fire and probably scared to death. You remember the first time you engaged in combat, You were scared also, grown men shitting them self in the pants, Others getting panic curling up in a corner crying helplessly. But you remembered one important thing, how horrific war ever is, Always keep your gun up and always get ready to fire, that is how you survived until now, and you think in your head for a second that the other guys remember that rule to. You look along the wall where you stand how many that made it, only 5. Jesus Christ we were 10 jumping, half of our unit was wiped out even before landing. DAMIT you say to your self, This one will be hard, Real hard. You put 3 fingers in the air meaning that the third from your left along the wall should get up front, In this case its James, one of the surviving snipers. He retches your left side and takes his place between you and the second guy along the wall. When you look at him you see that the "kid" have grown into a man in the 30 seconds you now been on the ground, He have no fear in his eyes, instead its hatred and adrenalin. You tap him on the shoulder and say good work soldier, now its only the hard part left and smile, He smile back and say: YES SIR!. With a harder voice you then tell him to get the adrenalin out of your blood because adrenalin can kill you in a battle, It makes you do stupid stuff and don't think first. And after a galaxy drop, Thinking is the key to victory. When you look out around the corner you see that the fire have turned away from where you are at and towards the poor guys on the other side of the facility. This is your chance, You grab the sniper and point at a burned out gun tower sitting alongside one of the walls. You have to get there you say, He looks at you and for a second you can see fear coming back in his eyes, You tell him that everything will be alright, Just use your cloak and run as fast as you can, He calms down and takes a deep breath, activating his cloak device and running over the 10m courtyard to the base of the wall. You give him a thumbs up as a "good work son" when he reach it and then you then send over one more, You know its a huge risk that they get shoot down on there way over but if you stay where you were you are all dead in a matter of minutes when the Vanu have realized that you haven't moved at all sense the drop. You look along the line of scared boys that is now hugging the wall behind you. You realize that there is three more except you that have jet packs so you do what the drill sergeant teached you back when you were a recruit. If you don't take fire, and you have realized that the enemy is firing at an other direction, take the chance to do what Romans did back in the war against the Greek. Climb the walls!!. You point strait up at the balcony above you and signal that you should all use your jet packs and fly up to the ledge above you and then use the element of suspires to shoot down at the enemy on the other side, So you take one final look at the sniper still hiding at the burned out tower together with an other soldier and you get the signal back that he got everything under control so far. So you take a deep breath and take three steps out from the wall, power up your yet pack and starting to get attitude towards the railing 10m up. 3 meters, 5 meters, 8 meters, You can grab the railing now and jump over, The area above looks spooky empty, probably the enemy is so fully engaged in combat so they don't realize that you are now up on there level. You look down on the last guys below, A heavy assault and a MAX to try to hold that area below the balcony as long as they can while you cap and clean the floor above. You start out on your patrol in tight formation that you learned back in the academy, Rifle up high, always look thru the scope and check the corners. You move room to room, wall to wall, Then there it is. The computer screen that monitors everything on the base, from canons on the walls to doors on the ground. You signal your men to move in silently and hide so they can overlook the terminal without getting seen while you move in towards the computer screen. Precisely when you are going to tap in the key words in the terminal a vanu soldier grabs you, He turn you around and try to push you down to the floor where he probably will end it all with a knife, You try to reach for your knife but drop it and it lands 3 feet away from you, Now its just you and him, and he have a knife and you don't so you do something that you learned from what the recruits called "The black book" when you were back at the TERRAN recruit meant center. The black book was something that the drill sergeants didn't want to know about but yet it was a reality and they know about it, And so did you. It was a book with all things you should not do because it could hurt your self and then be un fit for combat and just a liability to the rest of the force when fighting. But now you didn't have an other choice , it was you or him so you head butt the vanu soldier right in the face with all the power you can muster and you are lucky, he get a little bit dissy and lower the knife. Now its your chance, you kick the knife away from his hand and grab a hold of him, Down with your head in his chest and then engage the jet packs flying with high speed right up into the metallic sealing. You hear a crack when hitting the roof and when you booth hit the floor hard only one of you move. You had broke his neck towards the ceiling of the roof thanks to the thrust power in your jet pack, You pick up the knife, putt it in the belt and continue to hack. Log in: Pass by-passed... Please wait....Please Wait......Pass Is Affirmative!! Towers is [offline]/online [Online] All doors [Close]/open [Open] Its hacked! You signal your 2 waiting friends in the room next to where you meet the guy with a knife and now are hacking the computer. "We are done here" you say. Now head back out and call 4 a evac. Precisely when you are about to leave you hear the radio static starting again and this time its something much worse. *All... uni.... re..t* *I rep...t.. We have a full re...eat* *All...galaxys...retu... to bas..* That was the officer in command voice!!! You turn around to your men hoping that they didn't hear what you just heard. But they did, Its a full retreat from hexes 1,3,6,8 and 9 beyond the frond line. You are nr.8. What now sir the men ask what do we do now?! The worst part was not to say that you don't know... The worst part was not that you realized that your commander have turned his back on you because he was afraid to loose more men and get a bad reputation. The worst part was not that it was a full retreat and that you were now behind enemy lines, alone. The worst part was that that you had to turn around at the kids behind you, tell the truth wile knowing that it would probably lead to the death of many of them. You look at them and say: Its now we live up to our name my friends: Its now we serve the mighty TERRAN until death and beyond. Nah I'm kidding that was quite good I'm guessing that the only way to finish this story off is to have each soldier die one by one trying to get back to a safe base and then the main guy all alone has to fight off hordes of Vanu and NC like in the Lone Wolf level of Halo Reach. |

I am glad that some one that know english better then me want to help me get a good text so THANK YOU And sry my bad english - i used a english spelling program on the first part but on the second i had a time limit - thats why its all F up : ) But feel free to fix and tweak it so much you want And thanks for saying: Good story tho
