Schweeeeeeet...love steam integration. Tho I know everyone doesn't so I hope they have an option for people to download/update/play/etc without steam.

Edit: It's probably a safe bet that they do.

Nothing, probably. Unless its exclusively on steam, it being on steam shouldn't change anything.

Just because it's on Steam doesn't necessarily or even probably mean it will use Valve's Anti-Cheat.

Huh, it doesn't surprise me much, SOE has most of their large F2P titles on Steam these days. I do hope that there will still be a non-Steam client for those that don't like the program (like most SOE games already).

i would disagree somewhat, the game being on steam will not make it impervious to hackers, but i do know that a part of the community that enjoys hacking games also respects steam ( and their own steam accounts )
so it will not stop hackers in any way; but i do think some of the less "hardcore" hackers will pass on hacking a steam game.

and i'm sure its been said already but : having ps2 on steam will make sure there are alot more players and gives the game good visibility since many people consider steam the "dashboard" of their pc's
having the game on steam also does not mean that you MUST have steam, this is also true for games such as blacklight ( wich is surprisingly good for some reason )
