Can someone explain what the bars under the captured points in the UI mean? I keep seeing a line for each empire involved in the battle (sometimes I see all 3, sometimes just 2) but there is a solid portion of the bar and there is a striped portion. Any idea what either of these represent?

That UI section represent how is the capping operation going. You have the several capture area represent by a letter, color for the faction controlling it and shape if it's changin hands. The more you control, the faster you capture a base.
The bars under it are for how close your faction is to capture the area. It will start with 2 factions bar (the one that owns the base and the attackers). A third faction can also attack adding his bar to the UI. The first to get 100% of their bars filled win the battle and the area. The the solid portion surely represent the ''influence'' your faction has over the area. the more area you have around the capture point, the easier it is to capture. (Possibility that I am wrong here but I doubt it) |
